Founded in the summer of 2025, the non-profit organization Belukraid provides logistical and medical assistance to the Ukrainian population in the context of the war of aggression launched by the Russian Federation.

Russia’s unjustified aggression constitutes a flagrant violation of international law. Faced with this reality, we have a responsibility: to support the Ukrainian people in their resistance, in order to preserve their independence, sovereignty, and future.
Failing to help Ukraine is to accept a world where the law of the strongest prevails, where force trumps law. By supporting Ukraine today, we are also defending our own security and the fundamental values upon which Europe is founded.
Helping Ukraine to resist means investing in a safer future for our children, in Western Europe and in Belgium.

Ukraine war situation update | 3 – 9 January 2026 | ACLED
We provide medical and logistical assistance to the Ukrainian people through recognized, reliable, and experienced Ukrainian partners on the ground. This aid is humanitarian and vital, with concrete objectives:
The media regularly report on the financial and material aid provided by European governments to Ukraine. A question often arises: why are citizen initiatives like ours still essential? And above all, will the money and equipment be used wisely?
In this conflict, Ukraine is a David versus Goliath situation. With a population four times larger, Russia has vastly superior resources. Faced with this imbalance, every effort counts, every resource makes a difference.
Since February 2022, many associations in Europe and elsewhere have been mobilizing to support the Ukrainian people, recognized for their courage and resilience.
The non-profit organization Belukraid contributes to this movement by providing targeted and concrete assistance, directly in response to the needs expressed by a Ukrainian partner, "Mercy & Health – Miloserdia ta Zdorovia” : the provision of mobile workshops essential to maintaining frontline medical services.
The non-profit organization Belukraid was set up by a small group of friends, united by a deep commitment to freedom and the rule of law. Driven by these shared values, we have chosen to translate our commitment into concrete actions. We have decided to take on an ambitious challenge: to provide tangible material support to sustain life in Ukraine and to help defend what matters most in times of war—life, dignity, and hope.
We do not intervene directly in Ukraine. Over time, we have established close relationships with individuals and organizations whose activities we monitor on the ground through direct contact and their social media posts. This allows us to ensure that the supplies we provide reach those who need them.
In 2025 and 2026, we are collaborating with the non-profit organization “Mercy & Health”, a humanitarian organization founded in 2016 to help populations affected by the conflict in Ukraine—a conflict that began in 2014 with the Russian army's invasion of Crimea and part of the Donbas region.
Based in Kyiv, Mercy & Health is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who receive, organize, and distribute medical supplies from European partners directly to the areas most in need.
Since 2022, the organization has received and distributed over 120 intensive care ambulances, via the Belgian non-profit organization BEorUA, to units operating on the front lines. These ambulances provide a vital lifeline for the wounded.
This section presents an overview of our association's achievements to date (31/12/2025).
As we began defining the mission and statutes of our association, our founding administrator set off with a first "proof of concept" vehicle to Lviv. It was a Honda HR-V, a model that was already several years old, but which arrived in Kyiv without incident. As of january 2026, this vehicle continues to support the medical logistics of a Ukrainian unit in the Pokrovsk region.

Here is also a video/reel from Mercy & Health published on 29 Sep 2025 on their Facebook:
In December 2025, we successfully delivered three mobile workshop vehicles to our partner Mercy & Health, in accordance with the specifications. This initial mission also allowed our team of administrators to meet our partners in Kyiv and explore the beautiful city of Lviv, strengthening our human and logistical connections on the ground.

Here is also a video from Mercy & Health about the delivery of these cars (mobile workshops):
This video was filmed in January 2026, during the handover of the vehicle by the "Mercy & Health" association to the recipient unit. In this video, in Ukrainian, we first hear the association's representative describe the function of the vehicle received from our non-profit organization, Belukraid. The soldier, who is part of his unit's medical team, then explains that evacuation vehicles have a limited lifespan on the poor roads they travel on, and that this mobile workshop will be very useful for repairing them. We then see a glimpse of the vehicle's contents.
To accomplish our mission, we need a few essential ingredients:
1. Funding All these actions come at a cost. To reach our goal of 15 mobile workshop vehicles, we estimate we need approximately €100,000.

Thanks to our Belgian non-profit asbl/vzw status, we are committed to complete transparency regarding the use of funds received, in accordance with applicable legal requirements. As of January 2026, we hope to be able to offer Belgian tax deductibility for donations exceeding the legal threshold, subject to confirmation by the relevant public authorities. We will update this website as soon as this is confirmed.
2. Networking with potential donors Every bit of support counts. If you know anyone in your network who could contribute, please don't hesitate to put us in touch or spread the word about our mission. Your support is invaluable in amplifying our impact.

3. Light 4x4 SUVs We are looking for reliable, lightweight 4x4 SUVs, such as the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V/HR-V, preferably with a diesel engine.

These vehicles are essential for navigating the rough roads in conflict zones. We are monitoring used car sales websites, but we would also be happy to be contacted directly by owners who have vehicles in good working order for a donation and/or sale.
4. Care equipment Beyond vehicles, we are also seeking medical and post-traumatic rehabilitation equipment, vital for those injured in the conflict. We are particularly looking for wheelchairs, crutches, splints, and other post-traumatic rehabilitation equipment. If you have this type of equipment in good condition, please contact us. We will organize collection and transport to Ukraine.

5. Volunteer drivers Most of our vehicles are transported in convoy by road, covering a distance of approximately 1,500 km over three days (800 km – 600 km – 150 km, including 60 km through Ukrainian territory to Lviv). During these trips, we use our local contacts and security applications to monitor the situation in real time. If you are motivated and able to join us on a future convoy, please contact us. We will explain all the practical and security aspects of these unique missions, which create unforgettable memories.
We buy used, mid-size, lightweight 4x4 SUVs suited to the challenging conditions encountered off-road, both summer and winter. These include reliable and proven models such as the Toyota RAV4, Honda HR-V/CR-V, or equivalent vehicles. They will allow users to travel in regions where roads are either nonexistent or in very poor condition, in both winter and summer time.
Each vehicle undergoes a thorough inspection of its vital components: engine, transmission, mechanical systems, and safety features. Replacement or repair is carried out as needed. These operations are performed by our volunteers. When more complex repairs are required, they are entrusted to automotive professionals.
The majority of vehicles are transported by road. They must therefore be registered and have a valid roadworthiness certificate for the entire duration of the journey. We are also exploring the option of transport by truck, which allows for the simultaneous shipment of several vehicles—a solution currently under consideration.
The vehicles are then equipped as a maintenance and mechanical repair workshop. Specifically, they are equipped with an electric generator, a pneumatic compressor, and a complete range of tools (drill, impact wrench, etc.) and multiple accessories (pneumatic jack, various wrenches, etc.) to carry out this type of intervention in complete autonomy and speed.
Since Ukraine is not part of the European Union, we must take care of all the customs formalities necessary for the transfer of mobile workshop vehicles to Ukraine.
The completed vehicles are finally transported in convoy to Ukraine, where they are handed over to our partners. That's why we rely on volunteer drivers, who are essential to the success of each mission.
Our local partner then distributes the mobile workshops to units along the front line, based on operational needs and logistical possibilities. At this stage, we obtain images and videos for each transfer, allowing us to ensure their proper use.
In the summer of 2025, while the non-profit organization Belukraid was still being established, we delivered our first proof-of-concept vehicle. This prototype allowed us to demonstrate that it is possible to transform a compact vehicle into a truly versatile mobile workshop. The photos below illustrate how, within a limited space, we manage to carry the essentials for tasks such as: performing oil changes, replacing an alternator, repairing a flat tire, or setting up an emergency medical point, complete with electricity, water, and basic equipment.

This first vehicle was assigned to a unit operating in the Pokrovsk region. Its use in the field proved crucial in refining the format, layout, and contents of subsequent vehicles.
